The charity that recently lost their funding from the Cardiff Council showed the busy audience that they are not giving up… in fact they are flying! Their annual four-day Summer project culminated in a special performance on Wales Millennium Centre’s free public ‘Glanfa Stage’ and was in partnership with the Centre’s carnival-themed ‘Blysh Festival’. TT presented their multi-aged audience with a tsunami of sensory performances displayed beautifully by their amazing guests. The abilities of the guests range from cerebral palsy to profound and complex medical needs, but this was not at all a hindrance- Touch Trust celebrates the diversity of each guest while encouraging everyone to be themselves and show their beauty. Each guest gave a unique, personal and authentic performance which won the participating crowd over easily. The circus-come-carnival theme was utilised by TT through their four-day exploration of hula-hoops, ribbons and balls by all their guests. From these daily workshops (which were based on Director and Founder Dilys Price OBE’s proven Creative Movement Programme) the guests chose what they preferred and showcased their talents with celebration and joy. To support this incredible event, professional entertainers (some from Community Music Wales) volunteered their time, dedication and talent and made the show an absolute success! Throughout the week the volunteers, dancers, musicians and entertainers found true friends in each guest and their excellent support staff. The audience, which consisted of young and old and of all abilities, were encouraged to participate with the performance creating a one-of-its-kind, truly inclusive spectacle. Children supported the guest’s compositions with delight and wonder. They ended their performance then by inviting everyone to dance on the stage and play percussion and wave the props. They then continued to parade to WMC’s Spiegeltent where they had plenty of photos taken. They wish to thank everyone who made it a triumph and look forward to the coming events and even a possible future concert in the Donald Gordon Theatre… watch this space they’re far from finished yet!

Dangosodd yr elusen, sydd wedi colli ei chyfraniad gan Gyngor Sir Caerdydd, i’r gynulleidfa brysur nad oedden nhw’n rhoi’r ffidil yn y to … mewn ffaith maen nhw’n hedfan!  Daeth y prosiect Haf pedwar diwrnod i ben gyda pherfformiad arbennig ar ‘Lwyfan cyhoeddus y Lanfa’ yng Nghanolfan Mileniwm Cymru. Roedd mewn partneriaeth gyda ‘Gŵyl Blysh’ y Ganolfan oedd ar ffurf carnifal. Cyflwynodd gwesteion anhygoel TT tswnami bendigedig o berfformiadau synhwyraidd i’w gynulleidfa aml-oed.  Mae gallu’r gwesteion yn ymestyn o barlys yr ymennydd i anghenion meddygol dwys a chymhleth, ond nid oedd y rhain yn unrhyw fath o rwystr.  Mae Touch Trust yn dathlu amrywiaeth pob gwestai wrth annog pawb i fod yn nhw eu hunain a dangos eu harddwch.  Cyflwynodd pob gwestai berfformiad unigryw, personol a dilys oedd yn ennill edmygedd y dyrfa ar unwaith.  Defnyddiodd holl westeion TT y thema syrcas/ carnifal drwy gydol y pedwar diwrnod gan ymchwilio gyda chylchau hwla, rubanau a pheli.  O’r gweithdai dyddiol hyn (oedd wedi’u seilio ar Raglen Symud Creadigol y Cyfarwyddwr a’r Sylfaenydd Dilys Price OBE) dewisodd y gwesteion yr hyn yr oedden nhw’n ei ddymuno ac arddangos eu talentau gyda dathliad a llawenydd. I gefnogi’r digwyddiad anhygoel hwn, roedd diddanwyr proffesiynol (rhai o Gerdd Gymunedol Cymru) yn gwirfoddoli eu hamser, eu hymroddiad a’u talent i sicrhau llwyddiant ysgubol y sioe!  Drwy gydol yr wythnos, roedd y gwirfoddolwyr, y dawnswyr, y cerddorion a’r diddanwyr yn gwneud ffrindiau da gyda phob gwestai a’u staff cymorth rhagorol.  Anogwyd y gynulleidfa, oedd yn cynnwys aelodau hen ac ifanc a rhai o bob gallu, i gymryd rhan gyda’r perfformiad yn creu darlun cwbl gynhwysol unigryw.  Roedd plant yn cefnogi cyfansoddiadau’r gwesteion yn hapus ac yn rhyfeddol.  Ar ddiwedd eu perfformiad, gwahoddwyd pawb i ddawnsio ar y llwyfan, chwarae offerynnau taro a chwifio’r celfi oedden nhw wedi’u defnyddio.  Yna, roedden nhw’n gorymdeithio i Spiegeltent CMC lle tynnwyd nifer helaeth o luniau.  Maen nhw am ddiolch i bawb oedd yn sicrhau llwyddiant yr achlysur ac yn edrych ymlaen at ddigwyddiadau yn y dyfodol - hyd yn oed cyngerdd posibl yn Theatr Donald Gordon … gwyliwch y gofod hwn, nid yw TT am roi’r ffidil yn y to eto!
