Another Touch Trust Room in the Valleys

…and what an amazing room it is! Headed by a hand made pasta-art version of the Touch Trust logo, the room opens into a relaxing space filled with soft, inviting furnishings and the walls lined with draped materials. To mark the occasion Touch Trust staff,Debbie Fish and Dave Morris, witnessed the ‘cutting of the ribbon’ to officially open the room. Dave also ran a special participatory performance based on Aesop’s fable ‘The Wind and The Sun’. Service users of the day centre revelled at the opportunity to dance and make music, and even the audience (consisting of the catering and gardening staff) joined in the celebrations! Matthew Gough, Co-ordinator Day Services, introduced the occasion and has been pivotal in Touch Trust’s involvement in theRhondda. Treforrest Day Centre is now the third centre in RCT to have an official Touch Trust room… so if you hear any clapping echoing down the valleys, you know what it is!
